| Betty's father, Wainwright 'Pappy' Weston has recently produced an autobiographical book entitled Stories About Me and People I've Known. The book contains the memoirs of this hard-working and very musical man born in the early 1900's who grew up to become the last lighthouse keeper on Grindstone Island in Shepody Bay, New Brunswick. He and his wife, Ruby, raised a family of five on this island until 1970 at which time he retired and is still living at his family's homestead in New Horton. In October of 2000, Pappy, 89 years of age was inducted into the New Brunswick Country Music Hall of Fame for his contribution to old-time fiddling. |
